Throughout the program, participants will have the chance to explore how ancient civilizations handled food, healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, and various aspects of social and political life.

In this interactive cooking class, you'll have the opportunity to learn the secrets of traditional indigenous recipes passed down through generations. Our talented chef will guide you through the preparation of authentic dishes that showcase the flavors and techniques of indigenous cooking.
Excursion to the Pyramids of Teotihuacán
Topic: During the excursion, participants will have the opportunity to explore the famous Pyramids of Teotihuacán, a significant archaeological site in Mexico. They will reflect on the application of ancestral knowledge in their respective professional fields and how it can contribute to the positive development of their communities.

Receive Acceptance Invitation: After reviewing your application, you will receive an acceptance invitation if you meet the program's criteria.
Submit $200 initial payment: Secure your spot in the program by submitting a $200 payment as outlined in your acceptance invitation. This amount will be deducted from the total program cost ($600).
Complete Remainder of Payment: Prior to the program start date, you'll need to complete the remaining payment as specified in your acceptance invitation.

Hotel and Transportation available: Our partners provide hotel and transporation for an added fee. These are available on a first-come first-served basis.

Dr. Karla María Luján holds a Ph.D. in Design and Corporate Social Responsibility in Mexico. Currently serving as the Coordinator of University Social Responsibility at UACh and overseeing the area of Social Responsibility at UVM Campus Chihuahua, she is also a professor in the Doctorate program, teaching courses related to sustainability, the 2030 agenda, social project design, and social marketing. As the creator and founder of impactful projects in Mexico, Karla is the representative for the linkage of Tenochcayotl Casa Moctezuma in the preservation of indigenous communities. Karla's mission is to preserve the culture and traditions of indigenous peoples. Her focus is on empowering skills in children and adolescents to inspire their present roles as agents of positive change.
Armando Peniche brings a wealth of experience in public service with a strong commitment to advocating for stronger communities in Colorado. With years of dedicated work, Armando recently took the stage at the Colorado State Capitol, passionately sharing his personal journey in support of healthcare access for all. Armando has courageously shared his story of growing up undocumented through monologues and film and was featured in the short documentary film "No One Shall Be Called Illegal," which premiered at the 2011 Denver Film Festival, showcasing his resilience and dedication to raising awareness about the challenges faced by undocumented individuals. Through his diverse efforts, Armando continues to contribute to the broader dialogue on strong communities, using his own narrative to inspire change and promote inclusivity.
Victor Galvan,draws upon over 17 years of active involvement in the immigrant rights movement to empower and uplift immigrant communities. Victor is a prominent leader in the field, having played a pivotal role in the passage and expansion of pro-immigrant laws in Colorado. His tireless efforts have contributed significantly to landmark achievements, including Tuition Equity for undocumented students, licenses for undocumented immigrants, and the cessation of the infamous "Show me your papers" law, fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment for immigrants in the state. Victor's commitment to advocating for the rights of young undocumented immigrants began early in his life, leading to his involvement in the movement to end the deportation of Dreamers and the establishment of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in 2012. As a DACA recipient himself, Victor intimately understands the challenges and healing needed in our immigrant communities.
